The Forest History Society presently has six databases that are searchable on our web site. All of the databases provide useful, detailed information about primary or secondary resource materials that aid research in the broad fields of forest, conservation, and environmental history.

The Society's newest database is a catalog of images from the Forest History Society's Photograph Collection that have been scanned into a digital format. The Image Database is searchable via InMagic's Web Publisher Lite software.

The five additional databases compiled by the Society are searchable using Reference Web Poster software, which allows for searching across the five databases or just within a single database. Tips for searching in this software system appear near the end of this page.

The Foothills Model Forest is one of eleven Model Forests across Canada that make up the Model Forest Network . The Network is funded and administered by Natural Resources Canada and the Canadian Forest Service with other cash and in-kind contributions provided by program partners.

Forests for Life is an integrated approach to forest conservation through campaigning, fieldwork, policy and partnerships. In 1996, WWF launched the Forests for Life Campaign, which is working to achieve greater forest protection and promoting sustainable forest management world-wide.

The Tropical Forest Foundation is a non-profit, educational institution dedicated to the conservation of tropical forests through sustainable forestry. TFF was formed in 1990 by the International Wood Products Association at the Smithsonian Institution as an independent forum for the highest level of leadership from industry as well as scientific, academic and conservation organizations.

The Association of Consulting Foresters of America, Inc. (ACF) was founded in 1948 to advance the professionalism, ethics, and interests of professional foresters whose primary work was consulting to the public. The ACF is the only national association for consulting foresters.

The Foundation mission is to help assure the productive, responsible, and sustainable stewardship of our nation's resources. AFF's programs are oriented towards sustainable management of America's family-owned forests, educating young people learn the skills they will need to become responsible environmental decisionmakers.

The Private Forest Management Team is an education and technical support program for private forest landowners in Alabama. It is supported by: the Alabama Forestry Association , the Auburn University School of Forestry & Wildlife Sciences, the Alabama Cooperative Extension System and Alabama River Woodlands
